Underwater Cinematographer Australia

Woody Spark is an Australian Director of Photography and underwater cinematographer with over a decade of experience filming across the country's marine environments, from the tropical reefs of the Great Barrier Reef to the temperate waters of Sydney Harbour and the NSW South Coast.

Woody's location work spans Sydney and the NSW coast, the Great Barrier Reef from Lizard Island to the Swains, and the giant cuttlefish aggregations of South Australia. Recent credits include National Geographic/Disney+'s Secrets of the Octopus, Netflix's All the Sharks, Stan's Revealed: Reef Shot, and Mourning the Great Barrier Reef (Sydney Vivid Festival).

Woody has also worked on scripted and feature productions filmed in Australia, including underwater camera work on NCIS: Sydney (Paramount+). He also filmed the original installation of the Museum of Underwater Art in Townsville, working with artist Jason deCaires Taylor.

Woody shoots on ARRI, RED, Sony, and Canon cinema systems using Gates and Nauticam underwater housings, including full-face underwater communications, and is experienced working on remote island and liveaboard productions across Australia.
